Fish Round – Fried

Fish round breaded with flour and seasoning, fried until golden and crispy.

30-60 min Medium

Recommended for: Mackerel, Hogfish, Snapper (12-16 oz rounds, ½-1" thick)

🥘 Ingredients

  • Fish rounds (12-16 oz, ½-1 inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (enough for frying)
  • Flour
  • 1 packet sazón seasoning

👨‍🍳 Preparation

    Rinse round of fish and pat dry with paper towel.

    Season fish generously with salt and pepper. Place on paper towel to absorb excess liquid. Recommended marinate for 30 min to 1 hour depending on thickness.

    Add oil to fry pot and heat to 350°F.

    Mix flour, salt, pepper and sazón in bowl or tray. Dry fish round and roll in flour/spice mix to ensure completely covered.

    Place round in oil and fry until golden brown, about 8-12 minutes until fish is completely cooked.
